About Jenny Tidman

Jenny Tidman is an on-location, natural light photographer serving the metro Atlanta, Georgia area.

Jenny was born and raised in the suburbs of Atlanta. She has always been interested in photography from an early age. "I have always enjoyed photography. When I was little girl every time I went to my paternal grandparents' house I would look through their huge collection of photo albums. I also took quite an interest in my parents' Polaroid camera - that was probably the beginning of my love of photography." In high school, Jenny was on the yearbooks staff and her Senior year was named Editor of the Souvenirian yearbook.

Jenny has been through quite a 35mm cameras but with the impending arrival of her nephew, Ethan in 2005, she bought the Canon Digital Rebel XT and began using it regularly 6 months before he was born. "Ethan's birth changed everything about my photography. From the moment he was born, is when I truly became a photographer."

Jenny has used 3 cameras since the Canon Rebel. She previously owned a Canon 20d, 30d and currently uses the Canon 40d digital camera. Her favorite lens is the Canon 50mm f1.4.

And because of all the photos Jenny has taken of her Ethan, his parents have even nicknamed her "Ethan's paparazzi". Jenny says "If he sneezes, I am there to capture it with my camera."

Jenny has her own distinct style of photography. She enjoys capturing the bond between parent and child. Jenny loves to use natural light whether it be outdoors in the shade or in your home by a window. Jenny specializes in newborns & infants, kids, and families.
